Thursday the 15th, even though it was raining, we had 12 paddlers out.  This past Monday, the 19th, was cancelled due to very high winds.  It was not safe.  Then last night, we had 10 paddlers.  It was windy, but we kept to the lake basin, and did not go up the river.  Our boat is a wooden craft with a double hull, so she is heavier that most dragon boats.  She is very sturdy and we (of course) think that she is very beautiful.

It's been a while

We did not paddle the summer of 2020, in our beautiful pink boat, because of the covid restrictions. But some of our members found out that, Kings Co. Recreation Department, had free kayaks at Aylesford Lake. So we booked them twice a week for the months of July and August. It was great fun and kept us on the water at least if not in our own boat. We even got to the 2nd week of Sept. It was a free Kings Co. service.

The event was held at Island Green Golf course.  Started by Darlene and Sherri, this tournament has been active for 14 years.  Our Darlene is golfing in heaven now.
