Breast Quest Dragon Boat Team

 This is Debbie B. who won closest to the 'pin',(on the hole that was sponsored by our dragon boat society) in the Golf for the Cure. The event was held at Island Green Golf course.  Started by Darlene and Sherri, this tournament has been active for 14 years.  Our Darlene is golfing in heaven now.  

 Golf for the Cure was today at Island Green Golf course.  Breast Quest Dragon Boat Society sponsored me.  It was wonderful.  The team that I was on, won Second prize (Ladies).  Our great steersperson, Jim's team won second prize (Men).  The weather was fab, the company and meal stupendous,  Good times and memories of Darlene (Jim's wife and our president and paddler.)

 These are the photos that Diane's guest Wolfgang took from the shore.  His daughter was in the boat but he and his wife remained on shore.

 Monday's paddle saw these plovers sitting on a rock.  We usually see them on a beach. As you can see, the birds attracted all our attention.  We had almost a full boat with 19 paddlers.  What a great evening.

 Monday we had 17 paddlers  and Jim steered us through the 'narrows' into the other part of Black River lake.  There was rain on one side of the boat and sun on the other.  The sun caused a reflection and the rain drops looked like sparkles from heaven.  I will try to post a photo of this if there is one.  paddles up!
