This is a photo of us launching our boat before paddling.  She is on a trailer and then we hook that up
with a launch slip.  We do this every time, twice a week.  Monday the 24th, we had 15 paddlers.  Jim was steering and we went up the river as far as the bend.  It is 3 K to that point, and then back to the wharf.  So 6 K in all, within the hour of practice.

 Monday's paddle saw these plovers sitting on a rock.  We usually see them on a beach. As you can see, the birds attracted all our attention.  We had almost a full boat with 19 paddlers.  What a great evening.
